New Mexico Highlands University

Setting:

The Wilson Athletic Center at New Mexico Highlands University, Las Vegas, NM.

Problem

Like the ancient Aztec game referred to simply as Pelota, basketball requires precision. Although in basketball they don’t sacrifice the losing team, emotions can still run pretty high, particularly in college games.

Solution:

To help keep their home court up to date, New Mexico Highlands University replaced 78 400W Highbay Incandescent lights in their Wilson Athletic Center with 168W Noribachi LED lights. The new lighting is brighter and clearer, resulting in safer, more precise play, while spectators get a sharper viewing experience. It’s not Madison Square Garden, but it just might look better.

Along with essentially nothing spent on maintenance, the University saves over $15,000 annually.

Now that’s a slam dunk.
